The series centers on the Las Vegas Police Department's night-shift forensics unit, which utilizes cutting-edge technology to solve the often grisly crimes. This season starts with a forbidden romance: Grissom is hitting the sheets with Siddle and they need to keep it a secret. But they hardly have any time to enjoy things because C.S.I. gets one of its nastiest serial killers in the history of the show: "The Miniature Killer" who leaves pint-size replicas of murder scenes in his bloody wake.
